Our Services:

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two categories. The first is reconstructive surgery which includes craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. The other is cosmetic or aesthetic surgery. While reconstructive surgery aims to reconstruct a part of the body or improve its functioning, cosmetic surgery aims at improving its appearance. Both of these techniques are used throughout the world.

FAQ

Cosmetic Services FAQ

Facial fillers are products such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyl apatite that reduces or eliminates wrinkles, raises scar depressions and enhances lips.

People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a neurological disease should not use Botox.

Different dermal fillers last for different lengths of time. Some dermal fillers can last for six to twelve months, while other dermal fillers can last up to five years.

There’s no age limit for having Botox, but it should not be used for cosmetic reasons on people under the age of 18.

There are no specific laws in the United States that prevent teenagers from getting cosmetic surgery; however, parental consent is required for patients under the age of 18.

Craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery FAQ

Yes, the goal of cleft lip surgery is to repair the separation of the lip. Cleft lip is typically repaired between 3 and 6 months of age.

A laceration is a tear or cut in the skin, tissue, and/or muscle. They can vary in length, depth, and width. A laceration repair is the act of cleaning, preparing, and closing the wound.

Skin lesions include rash, swelling, bumps, hardening, or any other change in or on your skin. Skin lesions may result from a wide range of causes, as harmless as a small scrape or as serious as skin cancer.

Scar revision is surgery to improve or reduce the appearance of scars. The initial healing phase of a surgical scar revision may include localized swelling,  or discomfort and may take 1 to 2 weeks.

Breast cancer FAQ

Breast cancer symptoms may include a lump or mass in the breast, swelling, skin irritation, breast pain, redness of skin.

In some cases, a lump may be too small for you to feel or to cause any unusual changes you can notice on your own. Often, an abnormal area turns up on a screening mammogram (X-ray of the breast), which leads to further testing.

Studies have shown that your risk for breast cancer is due to a combination of factors. The risk for breast cancer increases with age; most breast cancers are diagnosed after age 50. A woman’s risk for breast cancer is also higher if she has a mother, sister, or daughter (first-degree relative) who have had breast cancer.  Studies show that a woman’s risk for breast cancer increases with the more alcohol she drinks.
